HUGH F. RAFFERTY of Scipio Center, whose long ministry as a priest in that vicinity had made him beloved by his parishoners, will be held Thursday morning in the church at Scipio Center. Solemn high ponti- fical mass will be sung by Bishop Thomas F. Hickey of Rochester at 11 o'clock. Other priests from the Flower City are expected to be present. Death brought the career of FATHER RAFFERTY to a close yesterday about noon. He was born in Ireland in 1840 and admitted to the priesthood in 1872. For a quarter of century and more he has ministered to the needs of his people in Scipio Center, North- ville, Glen Haven and Moravia. He is survived by two sisters and one brother. ===========================================================================
