Thursday, 17 January 1929

         Moravia, Jan. 17 - GEORGE PARKER, 80, died Tuesday
       morning at his home in the Town of Scipio. He was a
       retired blacksmith and farmer and was widely known
       in southern Cayuga County. He was a native of England.
       He is survived by his widow, ELIZABETH PARKER; two
       daughters, MRS. ROY DARTT and MRS. GEORGE MUNN of
       Grove Street, this village and by five sons, GEORGE
       and RAY, at home; GILBERT and EDWARD of Moravia and
       JOSEPH of Genoa. Funeral services will be conducted
       in the Scipio Baptist Church at 2 o'clock Thursday
       afternoon. Services at the home will be at 1 o'clock.
       Rev. George Brow, pastor of Moravia Baptist Church,
       will officiate. Interment will be at Scipio Center.
