Thursday, 9 February 1928

         JAMES ORCHARD, 69, a former resident of Scipio,
       died Sunday in Buffalo following a long illness.
       MR. ORCHARD was widely known in southern Cayuga
       County, having made his home in Scipio until a
       short time ago. He is survived by one sister, MRS.
       MARY JULIAN of England; four nephews, WILLIAM
       ORCHARD of Scipioville; HERBERT, JAMES and EDWARD
       ORCHARD of Elmira. Funeral services were conducted
       in Auburn yesterday and burial was in Soule Cemetery.
