MERRITT FUNERAL RITES MANY ATTEND ___________ Funeral services for Fred B. Merritt, well known Auburnian, International Harvester Company veteran and member of the Cay- uga County Rationing Board, who died suddenly last Sunday at his home, 123 Owasco Street. were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Funeral Chapel of Lester E. Brew, 48 South Street. The serv- ices were largely attended and the floral tributes were unusually numerous. Members of the Ration Board attended the services. Rev. A. Paul Wright, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, offic- iated at the funeral and at the committal in Fort Hill Cem- etery. Bearers, all nephews of the de- ceased were Elmer Fries, George F. Fries, Charles A. Owen, G. Merritt Owen, Richard Merritt, and Thomas C. Gannon. ===========================================================================
