ADELAIDE HUNTER LAW, wife of JOHN G. LAW, died Saturday afternoon at her home on South Main Street, following a long illness. Some time ago MRS. LAW under- went treatment in an Ithaca hospital and for a time seemed better, but she failed gradually and death resulted. MRS. LAW was born in Scipio and was the daughter of LEVI M. and FANNIE C. HUNTER. She resided many years in New York City but had passed the greater part of her life in Moravia and vicinity. MR. LAW retired from active business a number of years ago. The family is widely known in the Moravia area, and MRS. LAW was beloved for her philanthropies. She was always a friend of the needy and gave liberally of her means to aid various charities. She is survived by her husband; a daughter, MISS PAULINE LAW, at home; a sister, MRS. CORA E. GREEN, of Moravia; a brother, DANIEL C. HUNTER of Genoa, and by several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services were conducted from the home at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Rev. W. S. Stevens, rector of St. Matthew's Church, officiated. Interment was in Indian Mound Cemetery. ===========================================================================
