Thursday, 11 June 1970 Auburn - JAMES J. HICKEY, husband of the late CARRIE HOSKINS HICKEY, of 202 State St., died Wednesday, June 3, at Mercy Hospital following an illness of several months. A native of Biddeford, Maine, MR. HICKEY formerly resided in Scipio Center, moving to Auburn 30 years ago. He was a retired employe of the Auburn Board of Education. He was a World War I Army veteran. MR. HICKEY was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Surviving are three daughters, MRS. EDWIN T. STARK of Fleming, MISS MARION P. HICKEY of Auburn and MRS. BERNARD DOTY of Port Byron; three sons, JAMES J. HICKEY, JR., of Port Byron, CHARLES A. HICKEY and JOSEPH B. HICKEY of Cayuga; a step- daughter, MRS. LYMAN W. LYONS of Aurora; four step-sons, WILLIAM WEBSTER of Cortland, PAUL WEBSTER of Aurora, CLAIR WEBSTER of Norfolk, Va., and PHILIP R. WEBSTER of Ledyard. 21 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at The Farrell Funeral Home. A high Mass was offered in Holy Family Church at 9 a.m. Burial was in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Scipio Center. ===========================================================================
