Monday, 1 October 1928

         FRANK R. ELLIOTT, 58, retired farmer and former
       justice of the peace for the town of Moravia died
       at 1:30 o'clock on Thursday afternoon at his home
       on Congress Street, following a long illness. He
       was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge of this village.
       He is survived by his widow, EMMA ELLIOTT; a
       daughter, MRS. MAX BLISS of Cortland, and a son,
       HOWARD ELLIOTT, of this village. Funeral services
       were conducted from the home at 2:30 o'clock on
       Sunday afternoon. The Rev. F. H. Butman, pastor
       of the Methodist Church, officiated. He will be
       assisted by the Rev. P. J. Williams of Locke. 
       Burial will be in Indian Mound Cemetery.
