He had been ill a long time. MR. BURLEW was born in the town of Springport but passed the greater part of his life in the town of Fleming. He was the son of CHARLES A. and PHOEBE WYCKOFF BURLEW. In early youth he engaged in farming at Savannah in Wayne County. He purchased the Wyckoff farm in Fleming 40 years ago, where he operated the farm and con- ducted a general store. He was the owner as well as the breeder of several fast trotters and pacers. He was a skilled reinsman and was well known in light harness racing circles. He was a member of the Scipio Masonic Lodge. He is sur- vived by his widow; three sons, HENRY W. BURLEW of Auburn, HOLLIS and HUGH BURLEW of Owasco Lake Station; and a sister, MRS. E. M. VICTOR of Phila- delphia, Pa. Funeral services will be conducted from the home at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon. Rev. Frank Van Alden of Skaneateles will officiate. Interment will be made at Union Springs. ===========================================================================
