         Auburn, Nov. 24 - ARTHUR BOWNESS, 62, one of the
       best known residents of the town of Scipio, died
       to-day at the home of his brother, WILLIAM BOWNESS,
       of Scipio Center, after an illness of six weeks.
       MR. BOWNESS was born in Scipio and had resided in
       that town all his life. He leaves his brother; two
       sisters, MRS. WILLIAM NEVILLE and MRS. JANE NEVILLE.
       Funeral from St. Bernard's Church at 10 o'clock
       Thursday morning. Burial in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
