Will of SIMON BAILEY  1823

State of North Carolina: Beaufort County
To all Christian people to whom these presents shall come greeting & 
know yea that for the natural love and affection and for the better 
maintaince of MILLY DOZIER and MARY GASKINS, ODEN and DANIEL and also 
SIMON BAILEY, JR. do give and convey and confirm unto the ones as follow: 
First I give unto MARY GASKINS and MILLY DOZIER my Negro girl FEREBY 
but her increase unto all the ones namely MILLY DOZIER, MARY GASKINS, 
ODEN BAILEY, DANIEL BAILEY, AND SIMON BAILEY. My Negro man ELY unto 
ODEN and DANIEL BAILEY.  Also unto my three sons each a feather bed and 
furniture also the rest of my property herein not mention to be equally 
divided amongst my three sons namely ODEN, DANIEL, and SIMON BAILEY in 
witness where of  I the said SIMON BAILEY have here unto set my hand and 
seal in of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty three
