                   HIS AGONIES UNSEEN
                   
                   Old Man Burns to Death Alone
                   in the Fields
                   
                   New Paynesville, Minn., May 1 - 
                   CHRISTIAN HELMER of this place was burned to
                 death while burning brush and grass upon a tract
                 of land owned by him a few miles east of this
                 village under circumstances which will never be
                 known, as he was alone, and no one knew of his
                 trouble until his dead body was found by a party
                 of searchers who had been sent out by his family.
