Saturday, 18 February 1911

         MRS. CATHERINE SHORE, widow of the late WILLIAM
       SHORE of Birch Cooley, died on the 8th inst. at
       the family home five miles north of Franklin,
       pneumonia and heart trouble being the cause of
       her death. Deceased was about 80 years of age
       and had been a resident of Birch Cooley for more
       than 35 years, coming there from Wisconsin with
       the early settlers. Deceased is survived by three
       sons and one daughter, viz.: W. T. and DAVE and
       MRS. JOHN KELLEY of Birch Cooley, and JOAN of
       Fairfax.
