Saturday, 11 December 1909

         JOHN DELANEY, died at Morton on Monday, Nov. 29,
       and the interment took place in Birch Cooley cemetery.
       He was a high type of manhood, a true gentleman and
       an excellent citizen. No citizen of Birch Cooley
       enjoyed to a greater extent the good will of his
       neighbors than did MR. DELANEY and no man was more
       deserving of respect. He was a man of strong con-
       victions and his religious faith was as firm as
       the Rock of Ages. He was the father of three daugh-
       ters, the oldest and youngest having preceded him
       to the grave, the only one living being MRS. ED
       MURPHY of Minneapolis.
