C. His death occurred Oct. 6th, 1864. He was a mamber of Company B., in our glorious old First, and after sharing in its many bloody battles was captured by the rebels before Petersburg, and thrown into prison, where owing to ill-treatment and want of the necessary food, he soon died. He leaves a wife and two children. ===========================================================================
