They took handcars and rode to Mallard, defying the authorities of that place, and proceeded to run the town. Dr. BLAKESLEE, accompanied by Dr. BROWN of Farley, left for the scene of trouble last night and succeeded in getting the men together, and gave them their choice of going back to camp until the quarantine was raised or taking the con- sequences. After some deliberation among themselves they agreed to go back to camp, and when the doctors left at midnight the men had all gone back to the camp and announced their intention of staying until the doc- tor gave them permission. The logging train has been given permission to carry passengers as far as Alida. ===========================================================================
