             CONDUCT RITES FOR PIONEER MERCHANT
             
             Detroit Lakes, Minn. - Funeral services
           were conducted here for ALEXANDER CHERRY,
           82, pioneer merchant in Cormorant township
           and Detroit Lakes. Surviving are the widow
           and four children, ROY, NEIL and CLARENCE
           of Detroit Lakes and WILLIAM of Great Falls,
           Mont.

             MRS. W. H. JOHNSON OF DETROIT LAKES DIES
           
             Detroit Lakes, Minn. - Mrs. W. H. JOHNSON,
           56, wife of the pastor of the First Congre-
           gational church, died after a long illness.
           She was a native of Hull, England. Surviving
           are her husband and two daughters.

             GROCERYMAN DIES AT DETROIT LAKES
             
             Detroit Lakes, Minn. - JAMES COOK, 66,
           Detroit Lakes groceryman, died Thursday
           of a heart attack. His widow survives. The
           funeral was today in Holy Rosary Catholic
           Church.

             LEROY S. CARRIEL SERVICES CONDUCTED
             
             Detroit Lakes, Minn. - Funeral services for
           LEROY S. CARRIEL, 79, once associated with
           Iowa Central and New York Central railroads,
           were conducted here. He died of pneumonia.
           Surviving are the widow and one son.
