(AP) - Firefighters from seven communities battled flames which roared through down- town Detroit Lakes Thursday, destroying one business building and damaging others. Officials and residents said the fire was the worst in Detroit Lakes since Holmes Junior High burned in September 1980. In the afternoon, two men who had been missing during the fire were accounted for in the afternoon. The two had quarters over the Lindrud Co., where the fire started, and had left for work before the fire began. A Becker County sheriff's office official said everyone had been found and was safe. The only casualties appeared to have been four fire- men, injured in the effort to put out the stubborn blaze. None was injured seriously, officials said. BOB McTAGGART, of the Frazee Fire Department, was reported in good con- dition at St. Mary's Hospital. He suffered a fractured knee while fighting the fire. MIKE LeDOUX and MARK HAGEN, Detroit Lakes firefighters, were treated for minor injuries and released. LeDOUX sustained an eye injury and HAGEN suffered from smoke inhalation. CLARENCE ANDERSON, of the Audubon Fire Department, was treated for a leg injury and released. State Fire Marshal RUSTY TALLMAN said seven apartment residents escaped the blaze, which started shortly after 5 a.m. Firefighters from Detroit Lakes, Frazee, Perham, Audubon, Lake Park, Carson Bills and Pelican Rapids responded to the fire. JEFF SWANSON, assistant Detroit Lakes fire chief, said units were called to the scene at 5 a.m. and firefighters had the blaze under control at 7:45 a.m. ==========================================================================
