COLEMAN Succumbs After Illness of Year JOHN P. COLEMAN, Anoka county attorney since 1826, died at his home in Anoka Monday night, after a year's illness. He was 45 years old. Mr. COLEMAN, who was a son of JOHN COLEMAN of St. Paul, member of the state board of con- trol, was reared in Anoka. He was a graduate of the Anoka High school and of the University of Minnesota law school. Following his gradu- ation from the university he practiced law in St. Paul until 1911, when he returned to Anoka. Shortly after his return, he became city attor- ney of Anoka and served in that position and as a member of the school board until his election as county attorney four years ago. He married MARGARET EGAN of Minneapolis in 1913. Mr. COLEMAN was active in state Democratic circles. He was a delegate to the Demoractic national convention in New York in 1924. Surviving are the widow, one son, EDWARD, 15, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. JOHN COLEMAN, three brothers, Dr. CHARLES and EDWARD COLEMAN, Anoka, and ARTHUR of St. Paul, and three sisters, Mrs. LEO WARD, Anoka, and MARY and GERTRUDE COLEMAN, St. Paul. Funeral services will be held in St. Stephen's church, Anoka, at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Minneapolis. ==========================================================================
