Goodrich pub. 1905 - Hennepin Publishing Co., Minneapolis page 198 WILBUR F. CHASE was born in Lincoln, Maine, June 6, 1842. Soon after the outbreak of the Civil War he enlisted in the Second Maine Regiment, but was discharged for disability after nine months' service. He afterward served in the Six- teenth Maine Regiment, and was taken prisoner June 6, 1864, and confined in Libby prison, and transferred thence to Andersonville, and remained a prisoner until the close of the war. After the war Mr. CHASE came to Minnesota, and to Anoka about 1872. Mr. CHASE has been engaged in the lumber business during the greater part of his residence here, and has served several terms as county commissioner. ===========================================================================
