Goodrich pub. 1905 - Hennepin Publishing Co., Minneapolis page 192 JOHN T. CAMPBELL was born in New Lenox, Will Co., Ill., Oct. 27, 1866. From the age of sixteen he worked in a general store in his native town. Four years later he bought the business and conducted the same until 1892. He afterward worked for the Rock Island Railway Co. and as superintendent of Shawneetown Electric Light Co., Shawneetown, Ill. In 1899 he was married to ANNA GRACE GILLETT. He came to Anoka Co. in September, 1902, and in August of the following year assumed charge of the exchange of the Northwestern Telephone Exchange Co. at Anoka.
