McGREGOR - We are pained to learn that Captain JOHN C. McGREGOR late master of the steamer Kaloolah, died in Detroit on the 3d inst. aged 27 years. He died from the effects of a bad cold contracted during the very severe weather last fall while on the route between here and Goderich. CAPT. M. though a young man, had won for himself a fine reputation as a capable and gentlemanly officer, and his numerous acquaintances here, in Lake Superior country and elsewhere will sincerely mourn his sudden and unlooked for demise. ===========================================================================
