         Child Killed by a Horse - A little child two years
       old, belonging to the family of Mr. H. M. LACROIX,
       was killed last week by the kick of a horse. The
       animal was turned loose in a yard which the child 
       attempted to cross, and being somewhat vicious, kicked
       at it as it toddled along unconscious of danger, and
       inflicted such injuries that it died in a short time
       afterwards. The case was a very distressing one.
