KITTIE POWERS died at her home in East Decatur April 1st, 1899. KITTIE HERSHEY was born in Lancaster county, Pennsylvania, October 11th, 1825. She remained at home until her mother's death and at the age of thirty-three was married to her first husband. He lived but a few years and in 1863 she was united in marriage to MR. H. B. STONER of Penn- sylvania. After twenty-five years of wedded life she was left a widow again and in 1893 she became the wife of WM. POWERS of Decatur. In a year's time she was again left to mourn the loss of a husband, and after five years of patient waiting the summons came to call her home. She was ill about three months, and although her sufferings were severe at times she bore them with great patience. She was a devoted Christian and a true worker for the cause of Christ. Her last words were of Jesus, home and heaven. Out of a family of eight sisters and four brothers only an aged brother remains to mourn the loss of a beloved sister. Services were held at the residence April 3d, at two p.m., Rev. A. B. Palmer of Bangor officiating, interment in Lakeside cemetery. ===========================================================================
