MARKS BURIAL TO BE IN MICHIGAN Civil War Veteran Who Passed Away Yesterday at Home of Son is Taken to Old Home for Interment. IRA E. MARKS, Civil war veteran, passed away yesterday at the home of his son, HARRY D. MARKS, 531 Horace avenue, after having lived here for three years. Short funeral services were held at the Burpee undertaking parlors this afternoon and the remains were taken to Marine City, Mich., for interment. MR. MARKS was born in Michigan seventy-two years ago and served in Company 2, 22nd Michigant infantry as sergeant. He affiliated with the G. L. Nevius Post G.A.R. here. For a time he worked at the Emerson-Brantingham Company plant. He is survived by the widow and seven children, MRS. GERTRUDE BUTLER, MRS. THERESA RETSINGER, ALFRED MARKS, HARRY D. MARKS, ELDRIDGE MARKS, FRED J. MARKS and DAN MARKS, all of Rockford. ===============================================================================
