Thursday, 12 February, 1970

         DOCK T. FRANKS, 43, of 2616 Vanness Street, a resident
       here since 1946, died Sunday in Port Huron Hospital after
       a long illness.
       
         He was born February 12, 1926 in Columbus, Miss., and
       served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a
       former employe of Ainsworth Manufacturing Company, Marys-
       ville. 
       
         MR. FRANKS is survived by a brother, ROBERT FRANKS,
       Memphis, Tenn., six cousins, AUGUSTUS FRANKS, FREEMAN
       FRANKS, Sr., WILLIAM FRANKS, WILLIS FRANKS, and MRS.
       WILLA MAE HAYES, all of Port Huron; and MRS. TANZIE
       WILLIAMS, Detroit; and an aunt, MRS. CENTRAL, Cleveland
       Ohio.
       
         Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in
       Pollock-Howett Funeral Home, with Rev. John Portis, of
       Shiloh Baptist Church, officiating.
       
         Burial will be in Allied Veterans Cemetery. Remains
       are in the funeral home.
