Monday, 15 December, 1947

         Marine City - Dec. 15 - JOHN BOBART, 86, retired farmer,
       died early Sunday in his home, on North Second street.
       
         He was born in Grosse Point. In 1905 he married Miss
       JOSEPHINE PRICE and has lived since in Marine City.
       
         The remains are in the Bower-Rose funeral home. Funeral
       services will be held in the Free Methodist church at
       3 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Ralph Steinburger, pastor will offi-
       ciate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
       
         He is survived by his widow, ill in Port Huron Hospital.
         
         Pallbearers will be Maurice McClellan, Leonard Heath,
       Sam Varndale, V. G. Halliday, William Lumley and William
       DeLorge.
