HASKE WALLACE "WALLY" J. HASKE, 89, a resident of Manitowoc, and formerly of Rogers City, entered eternal life Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc. WALLY was born February 19, 1928 in Rogers City to the late STANLEY and HELEN SOBCZYNSKI HASKE. He graduated from Rogers City High School with the class of 1947. On December 30, 1950, WALLY married JANET TADYCH at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She pre- ceded him in death April 7, 2017. After working numerous jobs to help his widowed mother support their family, WALLY sailed for the Great Lakes Fleet of United States Steel Corporation for 30 years. He retired from the steamer, Rogers City, in 1977 as chief engineer. After his retirement, WALLY moved with his family to Manitowoc where he was employed by Manitowoc Engineering. He worked there for 13 years until retiring in 1990 as head boiler operator. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Survivors include WALLY'S five children (______) 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great- great-grandson; two brothers (______); sister (_______); also other relatives and friends. WALLY was preceded in death by his parents, wife, JANET; son, MICHAEL; brother, STANLEY JR.; and grandson, ADAM. Funeral services for both WALLY and his wife JANET were held Tuesday, April 11, at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo - 1121 North 14th St., Manitowoc, WI. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by the Rev. Dave Pleier with entomb- ment to take place at Knollwood Mausoleum. Following the funeral service, a luncheon was held at the Harrigan Park- side Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The family greeted relatives and friends at the Parkside Funeral Home Monday, April 10. A prayer service was led by Deacon Rich Bahnaman, to con- clude the visitation. The visitation continued the follow- ing day Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo until the time of the funeral service. **NOTE** the names of living family members have been omitted from this transcription to protect their privacy. =========================================================================
