Friday, February 14, 1873 VOLUME II, NUMBER 109 Obituary. Again we are called upon to chronicle the departure of a "Father in Israel" to the saints' rest. DR. RILEY R. TIBBETTS, a citizen of this county, breathed his last on the morning of the 9th inst. in the 73d year of his age. Three weeks ago he was taken with a severe cold, resulting in a fever which closed his life. Though his last days were replete with suffering, he could say, "The Lord is precious." He was born in New York; lived near Syracuse; was blessed with educational advantages, and at an early age graduated from a medical college, and practiced his profession. Later in life, he moved to Wisconsin, where he practised several years. Six years ago he came to Oceana county, took up a tract of land under the Home- stead act, and since that time had so lived as to secure the esteem of all his neighbors. Before entering college he gave his heart to God, and for more than half a century served his Master with the fi- delity of a true disciple. He leaves a wife and three sons, four children having preceded him to the better Land. Much might be said of this good man's life which the world would scarcely pronounce a success. Yet it leads us to exclaim, "Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his." R.N.E. DIED. VOSBURGH. - In Weare, Mich., Feb. 7th, 1873, CARRIE, wife of TUNIS VOSBURGH, aged 26 years. ==========================================================================
