Saturday, 17 April, 1880

         At Mears we learned of the death of JAMES HUFFMAN,
       which occurred last Saturday, from injuries received
       by a falling tree three days previous. He was working
       on the Hart branch of the C. & W. M. R'y at the time
       of the accident. Was conscious until a few hours of
       his death; his funeral was largely attended.
