           Judge Giddings is still in the place; has been drunk
         since the adjournment of a very short session of court.
         Last night, under the influence of delirium, he 
         imagined that the officers were pursuing him to arrest
         him, and he jumped from the chamber window of the
         hotel upon the sidewalk, dislocating his wrist and
         otherwise injuring him. He has appointed a special
         term of court.
