N. SOWERS of this city. Rev. Wm. Chapman of the First Methodist church, offici- ated. The double ring service was used. Little LOTTA RUSSELL and NORMAN HEYSETT, niece and nephew of the bride, acted as ring bearers. Miss GRACE McCORD, sister of the groom, was maid of honor, and Mr. DWIGHT RUTH, also of this city, acted as best man. The relatives and a few intimate friends witnessed the ceremony. The bride was daintily gowned in white, carrying a shower of bride's roses and sweet peas. The maid of honor was also dressed in white and carried pink peonies. The house was tastefully decorated in pink and white peonies. Following the ceremony and congratu- lations a four-course repast was served. The bride is well known at Pentwater and in this city, having received her education and graduated from the former school, and being also a graduate from the Benton Harbor college. She has, since her graduation, been a teacher in the Pentwater schools. The groom is a graduate of the Benton Harbor col- lege and of the law department of the University of Michigan. A large number of beautiful gifts of cut glass and silver were received from the friends of the young people. Mr. and Mrs. McCORD left on the steamer Missouri for Chicago Wednesday evening and will go from there to their future home in Portland, Ore., where the groom has built up a lucrative practice in his profession. ===========================================================================
