           A. GAINER, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon by officer
         HOWE, for being drunk and disorderly. GAINER was running his
         team through the street, endangering the lives of passers by,
         and being ordered to desist, struck at the officer but missed
         his aim, and the blow fell on his wife, who was standing near.
         On arresting GAINER, the officer was attacked by Mrs. G., who
         bit him severely on the hand, and nearly pulled out his whiskers,
         besides giving him a sound berating with her tongue.
