              Some dastard who has some spite
            against Mr. E. RICH, took occasion
            on last Thursday evening to ink the
            front of his store. A man who is so
            contemptibly mean as to do such a
            thing as that, would not be a safe
            person to go through a field contain-
            ing sheep, after dark; he would steal
            food from a blind negro, and hide in
            the dark to throw vitriol on the cloth-
            ing of passers-by. It is a pity that
            such creatures are allowed to crawl
            about and leave the stain of their
            characters behind.
