FRIDAY, DECEMBER 22, 1871 VOLUME I, NUMBER 49 MORTGAGE SALE. - Whereas, default has been made in the condition of a certain indenture of Mortgage on real estate, made and dated and executed on the 18th day of July, A.D. 187*, by EMILY C. POTTER, of the township of Ferry, in the county of Oceana and State of Michigan, to THEODORE F. REED, of Ferry aforesaid, and recorded at the office of the Register of Deeds in and for the county of Oceana and State of Michigan, in Liber D of Mortgages on page 5, and on the 24th day of August, A.D. 1870, at 8 o'clock A.M. which said Mortgage was on the 10th day of March, A.D. 1871, duly assigned by THEODORE F. REED to DAVID J. FOSTER of Whitehall, Michigan, which said assignment was recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds, in Liber D of Mortgages on page 506, on the 13th day of June, A.D. 1871, at 9 o'clock A.M., and whereas there is now due and unpaid upon said Mortgage, and the note to which said Mortgage is collateral, at the date of this notice, the sum of three hundred and forty-two and fifty one hundredths dollars, and no proeceedings at law or in equity having been instituted for the recovery of the same. Notice is therefore hereby given, that by virtue of a power of sale contained in said indenture of Mortgage, the land therein described, viz: the North half of the Northwest quarter of Section No. twenty- nine, (29), and the South half of the Southeast quarter of Section No. Nineteen, (19), all in Townships Fourteen, (14), North of Range Sixteen (16) West, in the county of Oceana and State of Michigan, or so much thereof as may be necessary to satisfy such indebtedness, will be sold at the front door of the Court House in the village of Hart, Oceana County, Michigan, on the 22d day of March, 1872, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon of said day, to satisfy said indebtedness, together with the costs and charges allowed, and fifty dollars as an attorney fee, provided for in said mortgage. Said premises will be sold subject to a mortgage of $300 previously given to THEODORE F. REED. DAVID J. FOSTER Assignee of said Mortgage. T. S. Gurney, Attorney. Dated. REED, of said township, county and State, and recorded at the office of the Register of Deeds in and for the county of Oceana and State of Michigan, in Liber "D" of Mortgages on page 215, on the 20th day of June, A.D. 1871, at 8 o'clock A.M. And whereas there is now due and unpaid upon said mortgage and the note to which said mort- gage is collateral, at the date of this notice, the sum of one hundred and five dollars, and no proceedings at law or in equity having been instituted for the recovery of the same. Notice is therefore given that by virtue of a power of sale con- tained in said indenture on mortgage, the land therein described, viz: The north half of the northwest quarter of section twenty-nine (29) and the south half of the southeast quarter of section No. nineteen (19) all in township No. fourteen (14) north of range No. sixteen (16) west, in Oceana county and State of Michigan, or so much thereof as may be necessary to satisfy such indebtedness, will be sold at the front door of the Court House in the village of Hart, Oceana county, Michigan, on the 22nd day of March, A.D. 1872, at two o'clock in the afternoon of said day, to satisfy said indebtedness, together with the costs and charges allowed by law, and forty dollars as an attorney fee, provided for in said mortgage.
