           ROBERT MCALLISTER was born in Dumfrieshire, Scotland, 
         February 28, 1817. Emigrated to New Brunswick in 1824; 
         thence to Livingston County, N.Y., in 1838. In 1856 
         he  settled on Section 5, Hart Township, Oceana County, 
         where  he now lives. Married, October 12, 1843, HENRIETTA 
         ROSEBRUGH, who was born in Livingston County, N.Y., Sep-
         tember 8, 1823. Six children.
