J. & C. E. Covell's lumber camp, was born August 18, 1847, at Rochester, Fulton Co., Ind. Came to Newfield, in 1866, and usually is employed as foreman of lumber camps, in the Winter, and in Summer has charge of a gang of men in the river. He has been in the employ of different companies -- Heald & Co., J. P. Cook & Son, and the Booming Company. He superintended the construction of the second tramway built on White River, for the transportation of saw logs. ==========================================================================
