Enlisted in the Second Michigan, three months' service, in 1861; re-enlisted in the same regiment, in three years' service, till the close of the war, in the Army of the Potomac. Settled in Weare Township, Section 33, in 1878. Married, August, 1865, to Ellen May; two children, Paul and Rosa. ==========================================================================
