Page & Co., Chicago, IL, 1882 Transcribed by Linda Talbott ========================================================================== Page 146 CLARK, Lucius ========================================================================== Lucius Clark, farmer, Section 29, was born in Berkhampton, Litchfield Co., Conn., December 25, 1818; came into this state in 1840, locating in Hillsdale County, remaining until March 16, 1866, when he came to his present location, selecting 160 acres of Government land on Sections 29 and 30. He has a thorough, practical knowledge of the trials and difficulties of the early pioneer. He married, in 1850, Sarah A. Smith. He has eleven children -- James M., George L., Francis A., Perry R., Idell J., Thomas H., Harry A., Bertie L., Nellie A., Clifford J., and Gertrude. ==========================================================================
