BERTHA W. JOHNSTON Funeral services for MRS. BERTHA W. JOHNSTON, wife of the Rev. FREDERIC B. JOHNSTON, will be held at the resi- dence, 203 Pingree Blvd., Royal Oak, at 10 a.m., Saturday. Burial will be at Marshall, Mich. MRS. JOHNSTON, who died Tuesday, was born 65 years ago at Albion. For a time she taught in the primary depart- ments of the public schools of Albion and Danville, Ill. The REV. MR. JOHNSTON is secretary of the Endowment Fund Commission, Detroit Conference of the Methodist Church, and of the Methodist Church, and of the Methodist Founda- tion of Michigan. Besides her husband, MRS. JOHNSTON is survived by a daughter, MRS. MARION A. CLAPP; and a grandson, KENT F. CLAPP. ===============================================================================
