SARAH M. RUTHERFORD, 87 years old, early resident of Fremont and Newaygo county, died at her home, 9 W. Dayton street, Sunday. She had become ill the preceding night. She was born Sept. 17, 1854, in New York state and came to this community with her parents at an early age. Her name was SARAH M. MISNER before her marriage to ROBERT W. RUTHERFORD in Fremont, Feb. 20, 1872. MR. RUTHERFORD died Dec. 25, 1923. MRS. RUTHERFORD was a charter member of the Ladies' Aid society of the Church of Christ. Surviving are one son, WILLIAM RUTHERFORD, and one grandson, WILLIAM RUTHERFORD, JR., both of Fremont, and one sister, MRS. D. MALLORY, Charlotte, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted at the Grandell (sic) and Ensing chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday by Rev. H. C. O'Brien of the Church of Christ. Burial will be at Maple Grove. ===============================================================================
