         Newaygo Items
         
         GEORGE THOMAS, of Bridgeton, Newaygo county, was
       recently injured by the falling of a tree upon him.
       It is believed that he will not recover.
       
         On the 28th December, PATRICK HENNESY, of Fremont,
       Newaygo county, was found dead in his shanty. He
       had been struck the previous day on his head by the
       rebound of a stump of a tree he had been felling.
