White Cloud, June 23, - Farmers near Bitely, Newaygo county, report that un- less rain comes soon their crops will be a total failure. No rain of any consequence has fallen in that part of Newaygo county since April 28. Corn is not more than two or three inches high, wheat has fairly got started, and garden truck and other crops are burn- ing up from the heat. Many farmers have become so discouraged that they have taken their families and removed to the cities, leaving their homes deserted and the farm machinery standing in the yard unprotected from the weather. ===============================================================================
