The general opinion of the people is that he took the poison while laboring un- der a fit of despondency caused by the recent loss of his property. WM. WHITMAN, the keeper of the house at which he lived, has since been appointed administrator. It appears that the woman with whom he had been living, and who also died rather mysteriously last December, was not his sister, as was represented, and that this property was not his own, but that she allowed him to have the handling of it. The woman has a daughter, married and living in Illinois, who, as the rightful heir, will come on and claim her due in the course of a few days. It is probable that the body of the woman will be exhumed and an examination made in order to ascertain if she came to her death by poisoning. There is considerable feeling at Newaygo over the matter. ===============================================================================
