         Another disastrous lumber-yard fire
       occurred a few days ago at Lumberton,
       Newaygo County, on the Chicago & West
       Michigan Railroad. After the passing
       of a freight-train fire was discovered
       among the piles in the yard of Case,
       Morrison, Gale & Co., of this city.
       The fire was so hot that only a portion
       of the 2,000,000 feet in the yard was
       saved. About 1,560,000 feet was burned.
       Loss, $18,000; insurance, $14,500.
