M. Near White Cloud Newaygo, Mich., June 28. - Running at the rate of forty miles an hour, down grade, a Pere Marquette freight train was wrecked at a curve between here and White Cloud at 5 o'clock this morning. The train was a double-header. The first engine kept the rails, but the second and all the cars behind it were piled along the track for nearly half a mile. ALEXANDER ROACH, of White Cloud, head brakeman, and CHARLES BOLES, of Grand Rapids, engineer, were pinioned under the locomotive and could not be extricated for over an hour. ROACH was dead when found and BOLES is fatally injured. ==========================================================================
