Whole County is Now Searching for The Robbers Who Looted the Bank at White Cloud White Cloud, Mich., Sept. 26 - The search for the gang of bandits who looted the Newaygo county bank of $2,000 is now on in earnest, and the whole countryside is looking for an early capture of the criminals. Valunteer searching parties were organized early Sunday morning and since that time the country has been searched in every direction. Deputy Shefiff MERRILL and his party struck a warm clue near the race track, where they found a roll of pennies, twenty-five in number, which had been stolen from the bank. They also discovered a partly burned paraffine candle and an empty revolver holster. The searching party went to Hesperia, where they found the robbers had been seen. Three men had gone west from Hesperia and had attempted in every direction. Deputy Sheriff appeard in his window with a shotgun and opened fire, driving the men away. None of them were injured by the shot. Later the three men again entered the village of Hesperia. They were accompanied this time by four others, making seven in all, and the entire party tallied exactly with the descrip- tion of the robbers who operated on the White Cloud bank. The posse of officers arrived in Hesperia Sunday, hot on the trail of the suspected party. It is thought the officers will overtake their game very soon. The bank robbery occasioned a feeling here that will not be obliterated until the perpetrators of the crime are landed behind bars. ===========================================================================
