YONKERS, former real estate broker here, died today at his home, 1070 Langeland avenue, following a long illness. MR. YONKERS, 61 years old, had been in poor health for about two years and confined to his bed for several months. Born Aug. 28, 1880, in Grand Haven, MR. YONKERS lived there for 22 years and attended the Grand Haven schools. Later he spent several years in Northern Michigan, being employed as a cook in various camps of the lumber industry. For the past 27 years he had lived in Muskegon. At one time MR. YONKERS served as employment manager for Continental Motors corporation. In recent years he had been employed at the Clarke Sanding Machine company. Formerly in the real estate business himself, he also had been asso- ciated in that connection with the late T. H. Leafstrand. MR. YONKERS was married to the former GERTRUDE ELWELL, on Mar. 29, 1903, in Thompsonville. Surviving, besides MRS. YONKERS, are two sons, CAPT. D. W. YONKERS of Camp Shelby, Miss.; VERCELL YONKERS, of Anderson, Ind.; one daughter, Miss GUILA YONKERS, of Muskegon; three brothers, ENO and DUKE YONKERS, of Grand Haven, and FRED YONKERS, of Muskegon; one sister, MRS. EINAR NELSON, of Spring Lake, and two grandchildren. ===============================================================================
