F. MAXFIELD, 80, Once Workman For Hackley, Dies JARED F. MAXFIELD, 80 years old, 332 Jackson street, a former sawmill worker employed by the late CHARLES H. HACKLEY and other prominent lumbermen, died at Mercy hospital yesterday after a month's illness. Born at Otisville in January, 1859, he came to Muskegon in 1881, remaining here until his death. At the close of the lumbering era, he was engaged in the real estate business until his retirement. He was married first in 1894 and after the death of MRS. MAXFIELD in 1920, he married Mrs. HELENE BAGG, at LaPorte, Ind., in September, 1927. He is survived by MRS. MAXFIELD, a daughter, Miss LILLIAN MAXFIELD, a brother, R. J. MAXFIELD, of Russellville; and two step daughters, MRS. GEORGE NEAL and MRS. CHARLES DUFF of Muskegon. ===============================================================================
