He was born at Ottawa Center, Mich., June 15, 1864, coming to Muskegon in 1889, since then making his home here. The past 20 years he was engaged in the bicycle and motorcycle business on Pine street. He was a mem- ber of the Wood Avenue M.E. church. MR. FONGER is survived by his widow, KATE; four sons, LESLIE, LLOYD and IRWIN FONGER, of Muskegon, and GEORGE FONGER, of Webb Institute, New York; one brother, JOHN WRIGHT FONGER, of Oregon; three sisters, MRS. H. A. TIBBITS of Denver, Colo., MRS. FRED CRITTENDEN, of Los Angeles, Cal.; and MRS. [*]ALBERT WITHERELL, of Grand Haven, and three grandchildren.
