IRENE ABBOTT Once Teacher Here Briefly Ill, Dies MRS. IRENE ROBINSON ABBOTT, for years a faculty member of Muskegon Senior High School, and widow of a prominent Muskegon banker, died at Hume home today. She had been ill about six weeks. A native of Jersey City, N.J., MRS. ABBOTT received her education at Vassar college, Paughkeepsie, N.Y., and at the University of Chicago. She came to Muske- gon from Chicago in 1896. In 1908 she became the wife of GEORGE A. ABBOTT, cashier of Hackley National bank at the time of his death many years ago. The marriage took place in Chicago. MRS. ABBOTT had served as a faculty member of Muskegon Junior college for a short time following her retirement from the high school staff. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal church. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, and MRS. GEORGE A. HUME, of Spring Lake; MRS. LYMAN G. MASON, Lavina, Mont., and THOMAS E.
